The Derby City Classic has been envisioned and is being promoted by Diamond Billiard Products, Inc.

 

Diamond Billiard Products, Inc. is the designer and manufacturer of the Diamond Professional Table and Diamond Smart Table, considered by professional players to be the best built, best playing tables in the world. Our recognized and coveted table and additional equipment is being provided for all competitive play in the Derby City Classic.

Since the company's inception in 1987, Diamond has been involved in a wide range of local, national and international tournament events - providing equipment, consulting, advice and expertise. We are on a first-name basis with national and international players, and those who labor behind the scenes to promote tournaments, provide cues, cloth, balls and other equipment. It was Diamond who first established and continually maintained officially accepted specifications for professional tables. Such specifications are essential in the world of recognized sport, and have aided in moving billiards into the sports category recognized by the World Olympic Federation. Diamond has made an important contribution to insuring the inclusion of billiards in the 2004 Olympic games. Perhaps that is one reason that the billiard community recognizes Diamond's innovation, reliability, creativity, and dedication.
